Toronto Win to Pull Even With Detroit
|
The Toronto Blue Jays and the Detroit Tigers will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Blue Jays beat the Tigers 3-1 at Comerica Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Toronto right-hander Jaret Wright had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs.
With two out in the top of the sixth, Aubrey Huff put Toronto in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring double. The Blue Jays went on to win the ballgame.
"I like our mindset right now," said Toronto manager Rosscoe Blue Jays.
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 7th , 2003 at SkyDome 1989-2015 in Toronto.
