Houston Moves on to World Series
|
Fans at Turner Field saw the Championship Series come to a close today, as the Houston Astros defeated the Atlanta Braves by a score of 3-2, and advanced to the World Series.
Houston won the series 4-1 and will now continue their march toward the World Series.
"It feels good to be moving on, I can't deny it," said center fielder Johnny Damon, who was named series MVP. "Not everyone thought we'd make it this far."
The Houston Astros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Toronto Blue Jays - Seattle Mariners series. Toronto leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
