Almost There: Houston On Cusp of CS Triumph After 7-5 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of first baseman Carlos Delgado, the Houston Astros got a road win against the Atlanta Braves, 7-5, in Game 4 of the Championship Series today. Delgado went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Astros, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

The Astros took a 7-4 lead in the top of the fifth inning. Facing Atlanta hurler Justin Thompson with one out, Delgado hit a 2-run home run.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Delgado. "And vice-versa."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Ismael Valdez for Houston and Pedro J Martinez for Atlanta.
