Almost There: Toronto On Cusp of CS Triumph After 14-3 Win
The Toronto Blue Jays moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the visiting Seattle Mariners at Skydome by a score of 14-3. Blue Jays left fielder Brian S Giles did some major damage. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the Blue Jays a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Championship Series.

Giles had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Blue Jays. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Toronto trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Toronto manager Rosscoe Blue Jays told reporters.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow in Toronto. Slated to start are Woody Williams for the Seattle Mariners and Al Leiter for the the Toronto Blue Jays.
