Rangers Pick Up 4-3 Win Over Baltimore
|
Behind the hitting of Marcus Semien, the Texas Rangers defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 4-3. Semien was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Rangers. Texas reliever Jake McGee picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Severino Gonzalez took the loss. The Rangers, now 86-35, have won 6 in a row.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tyler O'Neill? The 23-year old left fielder O'Neill stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Texas up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We've been playing some good baseball," O'Neill told the Texas Citizen. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
