The Cincinnati Reds relied on the hitting of first baseman Todd Helton to stop the Chicago Cubs, 8-3. For the game, Helton went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Cincinnati, at 70-89, holds down 5th place in the NL Central Division.
