Indians Prevail, 4-2, Over Boston
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Ryan Klesko, the Cleveland Indians defeated the Boston Red Sox, 4-2. Klesko was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Indians. The winner in relief was Rudy Seanez. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Jason Isringhausen converted his 16th save in 18 tries.
Klesko contributed in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Cleveland get the win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Cleveland manager Jake Indians. "Our pregame was pretty good."
