Almost There: Texas On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 4-2 Win
With starter Justin Verlander leading the charge, the Texas Rangers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-2, in Game 4 of the World Series. The right-hander threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball at Busch Stadium 1997-2005 to help Texas take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Texas used the hitting of Didi Gregorius to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rangers on top, 4-2. For the game, Gregorius had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Texas manager Rangers GM commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Busch Stadium 1997-2005 in St. Louis.
