The Cleveland Indians are one game away from a sweep of the Chicago Cubs after a road win at Wrigley Field 1979-2005, 4-3. Indians left-hander Jon Lester had a strong outing. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Cleveland now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.

Cleveland used the hitting of Manny Machado to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Indians on top, 4-3. For the game, Machado had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Machado attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
