Pittsburgh Sweeps into the World Series
It's a sweet sweep for the Pittsburgh Pirates and they have won the League Championship Series. The Colorado Rockies were not able to keep pace with the Pirates and dropped the series in short order, losing, 10-8, in the deciding game.

"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Colorado manager .

It's now on to the World Series for Pittsburgh after their 4-0 series win.

Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Joey Votto, who was named MVP. For the series, Votto hit .467 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Pittsburgh Pirates don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Texas Rangers - Cleveland Indians series. Cleveland leads the series 2 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
