Rockies Advance to League Championship Series
|
The Colorado Rockies out-dueled and outgunned the Houston Astros in the Divisional Series and are on to the next round.
Colorado won the final game 4-2 at Minute Maid Park 2000-2016 and the series 4-2.
Conor Gillaspie was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Divisional Series. He had a .391 average with a .417 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
"I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the League Championship Series," he said.
The Colorado Rockies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New York Mets - St. Louis Cardinals series. New York leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
