Cardinals Take 2-1 Lead with 7-5 Win
With starter Drew Smyly leading the charge, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-5, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. The left-hander threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs at PNC Park to help St. Louis take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

St. Louis used the hitting of Manuel Margot to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cardinals on top, 3-1. For the game, Margot had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Margot said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
