The Pittsburgh Pirates started the Divisional Series in style, downing the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park by a score of 7-6 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Pirates second baseman Gleyber Torres went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the third. That's when Torres hit a changeup from Jose Fernandez for a bases-clearing double, putting Pittsburgh up, 5-1.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Torres.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
