Odor Blasts Indians, Rangers Take Game 5, 12-8
The Texas Rangers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Cleveland Indians, winning, 12-8, at Jacobs Field 1994-2014. Rangers third baseman Rougned Odor was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the Rangers to 3-2 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Trey Mancini came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Cleveland pitcher Greg Holland, he hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Texas on top, 9-8.

"Nice win for us," said Mancini. "Now we'll go after the next one."

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday at The Ballpark in Arlington 1994-2011.
