Rangers Win League Championship Series
The Texas Rangers have booked their place in the World Series.

By a score of 9-0, the club ousted the Detroit Tigers in the League Championship Series tonight at Comerica Park.

Texas won the series by a 4-1 margin. The series MVP was Rangers first baseman Trey Mancini.

For his part, the MVP said he is not putting too much stock in the individual honor and instead simply "looking forward to the next round."

The Texas Rangers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Pittsburgh Pirates - Colorado Rockies series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
