Almost There: Texas On Cusp of LCS Triumph After 7-5 Win
With first baseman Trey Mancini leading the charge, the Texas Rangers got past the Detroit Tigers, 7-5, in extra innings in Game 4 of the League Championship Series. Mancini went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 at Comerica Park as Texas managed to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Texas used the timely hitting of Jason Heyward to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rangers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Rangers manager Rangers GM.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Comerica Park in Detroit.
