Houston Advances to Divisional Series
After eliminating the New York Mets 15-5 in the Wild Card Series at Minute Maid Park 2000-2016, the victorious Houston Astros will now move on to the next round: the Divisional Series.

Houston beat New York 4-2 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Astros left fielder Kyle Schwarber, who knocked in 12 runs, hit .480 and scored 5 times.

"The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Schwarber said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here."

The Houston Astros will play against the Montreal Expos in the next round. Montreal won their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers 4 games to 1. The Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
