Rangers Sneak Past White Sox, 3-2
|
The Texas Rangers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Trevor Bauer. He was terrific. Jake McGee sewed up the save, his 4th. Texas leads the AL West Division by 21 games.
Texas needed the clutch hitting of Scooter Gennett to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-2. For the game, Gennett had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Rangers manager Rangers GM.
