Tampa Bay Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in WC
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays got a strong performance from pitcher Lance Lynn, who stymied the Oakland offense en route to a 2-0 win in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series today. The Athletics could never get a bead on the right-handed Lynn, who threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Devil Rays now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Enrique Hernández chipped in for Tampa Bay with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Hernández told the Tampa Bay Daily.
