Down to Defeat Goes New York, 8-2
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a good effort from starter David Price in defeating the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium 1988-2008. The final score was 8-2. Baltimore goes to 56-47. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Baltimore catcher Jose Trevino contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 63rd hit of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 4-0.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager .
