The first-place Tampa Bay Devil Rays picked up another win.

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays picked up a win at Tropicana Field, knocking off the Boston Red Sox, 4-3. Starting pitcher Chris Archer was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Archer, now 8-2. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9.

Enrique Hernández dealt the Red Sox a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Tampa Bay leading 2-1, Hernández hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run single.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hernández told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."

Tampa Bay, at 37-28, is 5 games up in the AL East Division.
