Baltimore Tumbles Again, Falls, 7-4, to Toronto
|
The Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Baltimore Orioles, 7-4, in AL action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards 1992-2011. Toronto pitcher and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native David Price had an outstanding performance. Price got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The slumping Orioles have dropped 7 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lorenzo Cain? The Toronto center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 3-1. For the game, Cain had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"David is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Toronto manager Jared Smith.
