Mancini Slugs Rangers to 7-3 Win
|
At Oriole Park at Camden Yards 1992-2011, the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Texas Rangers defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 7-3, in part because of first baseman Trey Mancini. Mancini slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Rangers. Texas reliever Jake McGee snagged the win, upping his record to 3-0. Zack Britton shouldered the loss.
Mancini had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 curveball from Zack Britton, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Mancini.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Mancini.
The Orioles, now 19-31, have lost 4 straight.
