Riding the 3-hit performance of the four-time All-Star Marcus Semien, the Texas Rangers stopped the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 12-0. Texas, at 33-13, is 5 games up in the AL West Division.

With Texas leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Semien hit a slider from Zach Eflin for a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 2-0.

"Not the preferred outcome," Tampa Bay manager said, when asked afterward about the game.
