Blue Jays Beaten By Yankees, 6-1
|
New York Yankees pitcher Chris Archer was in top form, leading his team past the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-1. New York is now 17-17, 2 games up in the AL East Division.
New York left fielder Jacoby Ellsbury contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 1st hit of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 4-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Archer said after the game.
