The Seattle Mariners got a superb performance from pitcher Jerad Eickhoff, but the Texas Rangers still won the game, 8-4. Eickhoff threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Sean Doolittle, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Rangers bumped their record to 29-7 with this win.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Evan Longoria? The Texas designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rangers on top, 5-3. For the game, Longoria had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
