Diamondbacks Prevail, 5-3, Over San Francisco
|
Arizona Diamondbacks starter John Snyder was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the San Francisco Giants, 5-3. Eric DuBose was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 5 save opportunities. The 4th-place Diamondbacks go to 58-77.
The Diamondbacks got an important contribution from first baseman Albert Pujols, who in the bottom of the first hit a changeup into left-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 36th home run of the season and put the Diamondbacks ahead, 3-0.
Snyder called the win "a team effort."
