The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox provided some drama for the home crowd.

Behind an impressive start by Bruce Chen, Chicago beat New York, 3-2. Chicago reliever Paxton Crawford picked up the win, upping his record to 3-5. Justin Duchscherer absorbed the loss. Chris Reitsma earned his 17th save in 22 chances.

Chicago used the bat of Hiram Bocachica to get the win. The center fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said New York manager Emmett Yankees. "But we decided not to take it."

The White Sox go to 42-92 with the win.
