Paxton Now 1-3 After Subduing Devil Rays
The Boston Red Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher James Paxton, who handcuffed the Tampa Bay offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Fenway Park. Aroldis Chapman nailed down his 5th save. The win brings the Red Sox to 14-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Paxton was in the zone all game. He frustrated Tampa Bay hitters while giving the Red Sox 8 innings of quality work. Paxton threw 115 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 9 punchouts.

"James was able to execute his pitches," said Boston manager Jonathan Sanders. "Simple as that."
