Astros Suffer 7-4 Loss to St. Louis
|
Though he had a stellar game, Ryan Raburn could not prevent his team, the Houston Astros, from losing, 7-4, to the St. Louis Cardinals. Raburn was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Sonny Gray was the winner. He's now 9-6. The loser was former first round draft pick Chad Billingsley. The first-place Cardinals have a one-game lead in their division.
The Cardinals got a big boost from third baseman Anthony Rendon who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Astros hurler Chad Billingsley. It was his 37th walk of the season and put St. Louis on top, 1-0.
"The team always comes first," Rendon told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
