Cardinals Lose Again, 3-0, to Expos
|
Montreal Expos starter Albert Suarez turned in an exceptional performance against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium 1997-2005, resulting in a Montreal win, 3-0. The winner was Suarez. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Spencer Turnbull. St. Louis has now lost 6 straight.
Montreal used a clutch at-bat from George Springer to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Expos ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Springer.
