Woodruff Now 5-5 After Beating Cubs
|
Starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff gave the Los Angeles Dodgers a rock-solid effort. The Tupelo, Mississippi native helped his team defeat the Chicago Cubs, 3-0, at Wrigley Field 1979-2005. The Dodgers now own a record of 30-43.
Woodruff's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 4 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 5 hits. Woodruff, who is tied for 4th in the NL with a 2.79 ERA, goes to 5-5 on the year with 67 strikeouts.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Woodruff.
