Los Angeles Picks Up Another L
|
Luis Severino, who is rated as the 72nd best prospect by BNN, was locked in. The right-hander led the New York Mets to a 7-4 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The save went to Brandon Beachy, number 3 for him. The losing streak for Los Angeles has now reached 6 games.
New York won the game in part because of Nelson Cruz. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Mets ahead, 3-0. For the game, Cruz had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Joni Smith told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
