Brewers Winners, 4-1, at Busch Stadium 1997-2005
|
Sonny Gray, who is tied for 5th in the NL in wins with 6, pitched well, but the St. Louis Cardinals still fell short, losing, 4-1, to the Milwaukee Brewers at Busch Stadium 1997-2005. Milwaukee goes to 44-23. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.
Milwaukee took a 4-0 lead on Pablo Sandoval's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Sandoval hit in the top of the seventh, left St. Louis pitcher Nick Anderson visibly frustrated.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said St. Louis skipper AU Cards, "and it cost us."
