Correa goes 3-for-5 to Light Brewers Fuse
|
Carlos Correa made an impact in the 10-3 Milwaukee win over Chicago. Correa, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in runs scored with 49, was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Clay Buchholz picked up the win, lifting his record to 8-3 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 2 runs. The save went to Cory Luebke, his 1st this season.
With Milwaukee leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Correa hit a sinker from Johnny Cueto for a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 3-0.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager .
Milwaukee is now 42-21, 5 games up in the NL Central Division.
