Houston catcher Blake Swihart had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to New York in 10 innings. Swihart was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. The Mets lead the NL East Division by 5 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by David Wright in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Trevor Rosenthal to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.
