Astros Victorious at New York, 4-0
|
Michael Wacha brought his A-game to help Houston defeat the New York Mets, 4-0. Wacha got the win, improving to 7-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The first-place Mets dropped to 32-27.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Freddy Galvis? The Houston shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Astros on top, 1-0. For the game, Galvis had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Wacha.
