Wacha Sensational for Astros
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Houston Astros and the Pittsburgh Pirates, pitcher Michael Wacha was outstanding. The Houston right-hander, who finished 5th in the NL in wins with 16 last year, propelled his team's 2-1 win. With the win, Houston pushed its record to 29-25.
Wacha delivered a quality start for Houston. The 6-foot-6 right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 7.1 innings of work.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Wacha. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
