Indians Fall Short, 3-2, at Boston
|
Boston picked up a win at Fenway Park, toppling the Cleveland Indians, 3-2. Pitcher Bud Norris was one of the reasons the Red Sox triumphed. Norris picked up the win for Boston, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Aroldis Chapman closed it out for his 3rd save.
Andruw Jones drew 1 walk in 3 plate appearances for Boston. The six-time Great Glove Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Yovani Gallardo. It was his 2nd walk of the season.
"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Jones.
The win brings the Red Sox to 10-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
