Blue Jays Popped by Orioles, 9-0
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles get after it.
The Baltimore Orioles knocked off the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-0, in AL action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards 1992-2011. Baltimore pitcher and The United States, native Aaron Nola had an outstanding performance. Nola got the win, improving to 14-7. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.
Luis Arraez was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Baltimore. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Joe Ross. It was his 196th hit of the season.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Pete Smith said.
With the victory, the Orioles upped their record to 86-75.
