The Toronto Blue Jays outlasted Mike Trout and the Texas Rangers, 8-7. Trout was impressive in the loss. The Texas right fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win puts Toronto at 62-95.

Toronto took the lead, 8-7, on Ryan Schimpf's 31st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Texas pitcher Ty Buttrey in the bottom of the eighth.
