Albies Powers Indians Offense
|
The Cleveland Indians stymied the Boston Red Sox, 6-2, at Fenway Park. Ozzie Albies had a good day at the plate. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Cleveland. Archie Bradley earned the win to go to 14-2. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Cleveland is now 116-42, 22½ games up in the AL Central Division.
Albies had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Brad Hand, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Indians a 4-2 lead. It was the 27th home run of the year for Albies.
"This team is real focused right now," said Cleveland manager Jake Indians.
