Freddie Freeman knocked in 3 runs to help Oakland beat Texas, 11-5. Freeman produced 1 single and 2 home runs. The last-place Athletics bumped their record to 65-91.

John Jaso had a big run-scoring triple for the Athletics in the top of the fourth inning. With Oakland leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Trevor Bauer, who is tied for 5th in the AL with a 10.0 K/9 rate, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Athletics ahead, 3-1.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Jaso.
