|
Clayton Kershaw, who led the AL in strikeouts with 326 in 2014, propelled his team to victory over the Baltimore Orioles. The final score was 4-1, Arizona. Kershaw, the winner, moves to 19-4. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 4 walks. The win elevated the Diamondbacks to 79-70.
The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from center fielder Max Kepler. For the game, Kepler was 1-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Arizona a 3-1 lead.
