Orioles Absorb 3-1 Home Loss
|
In a tight contest between the Seattle Mariners and the Baltimore Orioles, Matt Harrison was the determining factor. The Seattle left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. The Mariners, at 65-84, sit in 4th place in the AL West Division.
The Mariners got a big at-bat from second baseman Garrett Hampson. For the game, Hampson went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Seattle a 1-0 lead.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Hampson.
