Lincoln Parks 3 for Monterey Tuesday, June 10th , 2059 Dave Lincoln went on an explosive hitting spree against the Garden City Wind at Clint Lightner Field, launching a trio of blasts to help the Monterey Amberjacks win, 18-3. The first baseman finished 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 7 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Lincoln said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Garden City skipper said Lincoln was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dave Lincoln hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. To date this year, Lincoln is batting .200 with 5 home runs. |
