Sato Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Sunday, May 11th , 2059 Taiyo Sato, first baseman for the Knysna Wild Things, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 5-4 victory over the Westonaria Skyhawks at Skyhawks Stadium. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Taiyo Sato walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Amazuz Paki in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. In 20 games Sato is hitting .435 this season with 27 hits, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs, 15 walks, .545 OBP and has scored 11 runs. |
