Apara Earns WL Player of the Week Monday, May 5th , 2059 George Apara must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .571 clip, then the Bethal second baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the WL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Apara batted .571 (12-for-21) with 1 home run and 4 RBIs. Currently Apara is batting .371 with 13 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 4 runs and scored 4 times. |
