Big Day for Stivers: Swats 5 Hits Saturday, July 31st , 2060 Cincinnati (AZL) second baseman Art Stivers had a big day at Peoria Sports Complex against the Seattle (AZL) Mariners. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led to the 13-9 Reds triumph over Seattle (AZL). "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Stivers said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Art Stivers singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
