Diaz Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, July 27th , 2062 Tigers center fielder Javy Diaz had his way with Atlanta (GCL) pitching at Joker Marchant Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Braves ruined his great day by toppling the Tigers, 16-7. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Atlanta (GCL) credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Diaz did today," Braves skipper said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Javy Diaz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
